Some scholars of the Islamic architecture considered that these forms are then integrated into the architecture of mosques in Mali, as the Great Mosque is the most famous example. The walls of the Grand Mosque are built of sun-baked clay bricks, called Ferre clay mortar. Covered with plaster of clay, which gives a smooth sculpted look of the building.
